Mixed media artwork can tick all the boxes for those of you that like to experiment. Expressive drawing, flowing inks, transparent washes, and thick textured paint all in one piece. However It can often be confusing as to the sheer number of options and then of course what order to use them especially when combining both dry and wet media together. It can be easy for things to get muddy and muddled. I know! I spent years playing with combinations until I found out what worked. I now have a process that enables me to use all the things I enjoy about creating without having to paint different pieces for each media. The course takes you through your learning with instructional videos of my full painting from start to finish. This includes drawing, inks, coloured pencils, and acrylics. You will paint the complete artwork with me step by step


The materials you will need to follow this course are coloured pencils, non soluble black drawing pen, acrylic inks such as Liquitex  or Golden high flow, heavy body acrylic paints, gloss medium, glazing medium, brushes, palette knife, heavy paper such as 300gsm watercolour paper.

However these are just a suggestion. You may adapt your process to suit you and the materials you have.
